Our member Damián Martín-GilI has been awarded the Prix Philippe Lescat, given by the French Musicological Society and the Philippe Lescat Association to the best thesis on music of the 17th and 18th centuries. This prize aims to distinguish works that make a significant contribution to research in this field. The title of the thesis is ‘La musique pour guitare à Paris dans la deuxième partie du XVIIIe siècle : Étude socio-culturelle d’une pratique instrumentale’ supervised by Thierry Favier at the University of Poitiers.
